Petro-Carbo
Salve is a must for every home medicine cabinet and first-aid kit. It's safe and
effective for healing a variety of skin conditions. Also works well for drawing
out slivers. Provides a protective topical dressing for minor burns, sunburn,
minor cuts, scrapes, sores, insect bites and minor skin irritations. Helps protect
chafed, chapped, cracked or windburn skin from exposure. Helps irritated tissues
from reopening during the healing process.
The active ingredient, Phenol,
was once called "carbolic acid". Phenol is a very effective topical analgesic
that was used for decades to disinfect medical instruments.
Suggested
Use:
For adults and children 2 years and older, apply to affected area
not more than 3 or 4 times daily. For children under 2 years of age, consult a physician.
Ingredients:
Active Ingredient: Phenol 1.5 percent.
Inactive Ingredients: Cajeput oil, camphor oil, paraffin, partially hydrogenated rosin,
petrolatum and spruce oil.
Warnings:
For external use only. Avoid contact with eyes. Discontinue use and consult a physician if symptoms worsen, persist more
than 7 days or if symptoms clear then recur. Do not apply over large areas of
the body and do not bandage. In case of accidental ingestion, seek professional
assistance or contact a poison control center immediately.
