Castor oil has been prized throughout the ages for its unique therapeutic properties. Today it is applied as a moisturizer and skin softener, for application with Castor Oil packs, as a massage oil for stiff muscles and joints, for gastrointestinal problems (see Castor Oil softgels below), and to soothe skin conditions such as Eczema and Psoriasis. Castor oil applied externally in the form of "packs" is a popular holistic therapy recommended by health care practitioners. These packs are applied over the abdomen to improve assimilation, elimination and circulation; especially of the lymphatic system.
Baar Products' Castor Oil, also known as Palma Christi or the "Palm of Christ", is a 100% pure, cold pressed and cold processed Castor Oil without hexane. It has the added benefit of being solar crafted!
The naturally occurring fats and waxes found in Castor Oil give it its unique properties. Because this oil is minimally filtered, the appearance of a haze or sediment may occur even after the oil is filtered. This "cloudy" appearance is often noticed during colder temperatures and during winter months. This does not affect the quality or benefits this amazing oil has to offer.

Ingredients: 100% Cold-Pressed, Cold-Processed Virgin Castor Oil. Unrefined. Hexane-free.
Suggested Uses:
Skincare: As a skin softener or moisturizer, apply as needed to maintain a soft, smooth, youthful appearance.
Eyebrows and Eyelashes: Apply a small amount to the base of your eyelashes and massage into eyebrows. Keep out of eyes.
Haircare: Apply a few drops onto the scalp and roots of your hair. Gently massage the oil in for about 3 to 5 minutes, cover your head with a shower cap and let the Castor Oil sit for 1 to 2 hours. When the treatment is done wash out the Castor Oil with shampoo and conditioner. Repeat this process 1 to 2 times a week to help restore and repair hair health.
Nails and Cuticles: Apply a few drops of castor oil onto a cotton swap and gently massage nails. For a more penetrating result, add a few drops of Castor Oil to a warm bowl of water and soak nails for 10 minutes.
Muscles and Joints: Apply a small amount onto the area of the sore and stiff muscle or joint, massage gently to relieve the pain and swelling.
Castor Oil Packs
A common area to apply the Castor Oil pack is on the abdomen, extending from the lower part of the rib cage to the the pubic or groin area, sitting slightly to the right to cover the liver. Application is usually for 1 to 2 hours. A heating pad is placed on top of the Castor Oil pack to keep it very warm during application. Optionally, you can uses either a Castor Oil Pack Wrap with Buckles or a Castor Oil Pack Wrap with Hook-and-Loop Tape to hold everything in place. It is best to consult your health care practitioner to determine frequency of application.
