Clean Wave Sanitizer quickly and effectively sterilizes your toothbrush to help eliminate germs, bacteria and viruses. A built in timer provides an automatic 6 minute sanitizing cycle with UVC (Ultra Violet C) light. Features a lid activated on/off switch and sturdy carrying case (8.58" x 2.17" x 1.18"). Operates on two AAA batteries (not supplied).

UVC is considered germicidal UV and is used in hospitals and laboratories to eliminate germs, mold, bacteria and viruses. Under proper handling, UVC is completely safe. UVC light alters the DNA and RNA in germs, viruses, mold and bacteria so that they are not able to reproduce. Within a very short period of time (almost instantaneously) they die when exposed to UVC illumination. Extensive tests have demonstrated the effectiveness of UVC light on microorganisms. UVC systems have been tested commercially for more than 60 years and have demonstrated their effectiveness. The bulb should last for three to four years under normal use.
