Iodine has long been in use as an antibacterial agent and a skin disinfectant. It was discovered in 1811, and gained widespread popularity during the American Civil War, where it was used liberally to treat the wounds of soldiers. Atomidex® inhibits the growth and action of bacteria and promotes the healing of minor cuts, wounds and abrasions. A topical iodine ointment such as Atomidex® was mentioned about 125 times in the Cayce Readings.

Suggested Use: Cleanse affected area with mild soap and warm water/rinse thoroughly. Apply product and rub until color disappears. Use only light, loose bandaging. For external use only.

Active Ingredients: Iodine, 2%

Inactive Ingredients: Oleic Acid, Paraffin, Petrolatum.

Warning: Keep out of the reach of children. For external use only. Keep out of contact with eyes or mucous membranes. In case of accidental ingestion, contact Poison Control Center immediately. Ask a doctor before use if you have deep or puncture wounds, animal bites or serious burns. Stop use and ask a doctor if the redness, irritation, swelling or pain persists or get worse, an infection occurs, or the condition does not improve within 7 days.
