Tanacetum parthenium
- Herbal Supplement
- Reseached for Headache Relief
- Standardized Extract
Feverfew is used to address many of the same conditions that are supplemented by aspirin, including headaches, fever and arthritis. It is rich in a group of chemicals called sesquiterpene lactones. The herb is a good source of niacin, and contains other trace minerals such as magnesium, manganese, phosphorus, potassium, and thiamine.
The British Journal, The Lancet, published a study on Feverfew to treat migraine headaches. This was a double-blind placebo controlled, randomized trial. It showed that 70% of the patients reported a reduction in the frequency and severity of attacks. Some reported a complete cessation of their migraines.
