Mangosteen is a tropical plant, technically known as Garcinia mangostana L. The fruit is round and is dark to red purple, smooth on the outside. It is nature's most abundant source of Xanthones, a group of very powerful phytonutrients becoming known for being a natural source of:
Fiber, Potassium, Calcium, Vitamin B1, Vitamin B2, Iron, Vitamin C and Vitamin B6.

Mangosteen has demonstrated the highest ORAC value of any edible plant. ORAC stands for oxygen radical absorbency capacity and is a measure of a substance's antioxidant activity. Blueberries have recently been touted in the press for their high antioxidant properties, however Mangosteen tests even higher than Blueberries.

Why a capsule and not a liquid? The pericarp (the rind) of the mangosteen is the location of the highest concentration of its bioactive ingredients, but is also very bitter. To deliver mangosteen in a liquid requires that it be diluted and put in a base of something sweet enough to mask that bitterness - usually a fruit juice of some sort. That dilution delivers a lower potency product that because it has to taste good may also be loaded with calories. By encapsulating 650 mg of mangosteen from the pericarp in each capsule, we are able to concentrate the active ingredients and deliver a much more potent product.

Suggested Use:
Adults: Take 2 capsules daily with meals or as directed by your health practitioner.
