Olivae™ Soap is milled through a superior milling process that helps keep it from disappearing quickly through daily use. The milling process is an operation in which soap chips are squeezed and kneaded by passing through a set of rollers and then compressed into one continuous strip to be made into bars. Also called French-Milled from its method developed from the old French process.

Many of today's Castile soaps are made from vegetable oils. Originally, Castile soaps were made from Olive Oil and produced extensively in ancient Castile, Spain. Olive oil soap has long been renowned for its mildness and is suitable for even the most delicate skin. It also has a reputation for being more time consuming and more expensive to make than other soaps, but the results more than justify the effort.

Glycerin ~ helps produce a very mild soap which cleanses, softens, and moisturizes the skin. Glycerin, a humectant, is thought to pull moisture from the air and moisturize the skin throughout the day.

Olive Oil ~ gently cleanses the skin without stripping its natural oils. Absorbs quickly without clogging pores making it perfect for sensitive or acne prone skin. A rich source of the powerful antioxidant vitamin E, which helps fend of free radicals, keeping your skin looking healthy and radiant.

Cocoa Butter ~ envelops skin with rich, creamy moisture. It is one of the most stable, highly concentrated natural fats known. Cocoa butter is often recommended for skin conditions such as eczema and dermatitis because of its ability to create a barrier between sensitive skin and the harsh environment.

Castor Oil ~ contains a unique chemical composition of ricinoleic acid. Applied to the skin it acts as a natural emollient, penetrating the surface layer of the skin. Soap made with Castor oil is very moisturizing and has a dense, viscous lather.

Lanolin ~ has an unsurpassed moisturizing and emollient action on the skin. It reduces moisture loss by mimicking the natural oils our skin produces. Lanolin helps restore softness and elasticity, especially to dry or chapped skin.

Aloe Vera Gel ~ contains naturally occurring vitamins and minerals, enzymes and amino acids known for their healing properties. Softens and smoothes skin and may improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
