What is Tinea Versicolor?
Tinea Versicolor (also known as pityriasis versicolor) is a fungal infection causing a skin rash formed by many small spots that typically appear on the oily parts of the upper body, usually on the chest, back, and upper arms. The spots are flat and may be white, pink, red, tan, or brown. Each person's spots are usually the same color, either lighter or darker than the rest of the skin. Tinea Versicolor is caused by a yeast that usually lives on the skin of most adults without causing a breakout. The fungus produces a chemical which affects the pigment of the skin which results in a color change of the skin. Breakouts seem to occur in high humidity and hormonal and immune changes may contribute. Tinea Versicolor is not contagious, although it can reoccur, so treatment needs to be repeated.*
Tinea Versicolor Medicated Soap is a Palm kernel and Coconut oil based Homeopathic soap with micronized Volcanic Sulfur and pure Lavender oil. Tinea Versicolor soap soothes, clears and helps with quick healing of the common Tinea Versicolor fungus. Formulated to penetrate into the skin, eliminate the fungus and promote healing.*
With active ingredients officially monographed in the "Homeopathic Pharmacopeia of The United States" and based on the Materia Medica, Tinea Veriscolor Medicated Soap helps combat a current outbreak and the skin discoloration that can occur.*
Suggested Use:
Use soap at least 2 times daily, for 4-10 days. Drying of skin may occur. Some individuals may be sensitive to essential oils. Skin test for tolerability. If irritation occurs, discontinue use.
