The Filtration System contains the premier, patented, 10-Stage contaminant removing filter and lasts three times as long as the common carbon block filters (1500 gallons versus 500 gallons). It filters uniquely by bonding water contaminants with the media inside the filter. Unlike carbon block filters that clog easily, the 10-stage Water Filter removes the following contaminants evenly and effectively: Chlorine, Cancer-Causing Trihalomethanes (THM), Odor-Causing Hydrogen Sulfide, Pesticides, Herbicides, PCB's, Toxic Heavy Metals like Lead, Cadmium, Organic Arsenic, Asbestos and Microorganisms such as Cryptosporidium, Giardia and dozens of other lesser known organic contaminents.

Inert minerals such as Magnesium, Potassium, Chlorides and Fluorides are left in the water after filtration.

Stage 1: A 30 micron filter pad traps larger solids such as rust.
Stage 2: 8 ounces of KDF-55, this is a patented alloy that removes free chlorine and some heavy metals. It prolongs the life of the filter and is an excellent bacteriostat.
Stage 3: A 10 micron filter pad removes smaller floating solids and separates the layers to preserve their integrity.
Stage 4: 4 inch 0.5 sub micron fine mesh coconut shell carbon creates a solid barrier against organisms larger than 1 micron such as cysts and protozoa. Removes chlorine, pesticides, herbicides, arsenic, lead, mercury and trihalomethanes.
Stage 5: A 10 micron filter pad for fine sediment removal.
Stage 6: 1.3 oz of cation exchange resin provides another layer of protection against heavy metals such as lead and mercury.
Stage 7: A thirty micron filter pad provides an extra buffer against floating sediment of any kind.
Stage 8: 3.5 oz ultra fine G.A.C. has long been accepted by the EPA to remove chlorine, bad odor and color from drinking water.
Stage 9: 2 ounces of calcite raises the waters pH to neutral thereby lowering acidity and increasing alkalinity.
Stage10: 30 micron polishing filter for sparkling clarity.

Suggested Use:
After hooking up the unit, let the filter run for 2-3 minutes (first time only). This will allow any loose sediment to wash out and provide the best tasting water. The slower you run the water, the more efficiently the system will filter. Try turning the water pressure down to just before the diverter valve stop pops out. This will be the ideal filtration setting. Filters need replacing every 1500 gallons or about once a year.
