Most lotions work on the skin's surface to relieve the symptoms of dry skin, while ignoring the real cause. But Borage Therapy provides more: it contains borage oil, which helps to relieve dry skin by reversing a deficiency of gamma-linolenic acid (GLA), a critical omega-6 fatty acid.
- Most moisturizers work on the skin's surface to provide temporary relief.
- Borage Therapy fights the cause of dry skin beneath the surface with borage oil.
- Borage Therapy helps skin retain more moisture for healthy and supple skin.
Borage Therapy Lotion can help.
It supplies the skin directly with GLA in the form of borage oil. Borage oil is the highest yield source (24%) of GLA. If used regularly, ShiKai Borage Therapy lotion can provide immediate relief as well as long term improvement.
What is Borage?
Borage, commonly called "starflower", is a well known herb which is indigenous to North Europe, North Africa and Asia Minor but can be found in almost all temperate regions of the world. The plant grows to be 18" to 36" high and spreads 12" to 20" wide. The leaves are straggly and messy and are bright blue star shaped flowers. Borage is commercially grown for the very valuable oil found in its seeds.
