Goldenseal (Hydrastis canadensis) is a perennial plant native to eastern North America. Its roots and leaves have been long been used in traditional herbal medicine to address a variety of ailments, especially those involving infection or inflammation.*

Today Goldenseal is one of the most popular herbal remedies worldwide. Teas, herbal extracts, or capsules sourced from this plant are used to relieve cold symptoms, hay fever, digestive problems, sore gums, and skin problems.*

Goldenseal's benefits can be attributed to its alkaloids, specifically hydrastine, canadine and berberine. These alkaloids are strong astringents and help relieve inflammation of mucous membranes*. Hydrastine has also been reported to help manage healthy blood pressure* and stimulate peristalsis*.

Suggested Use: For short term use (up to 10 days) take 1/2-1 mL (approx. 14-28 drops) 3 times a day in a small amount of water.
