Sulflax®, 2 oz
For Occasional Irregularity
- Blood Purifier
- Mild, Gentle Bowel Regulator
- Supports Healthy Eliminations
- Edgar Cayce Formula
Sulflax® was prescribed by Edgar Cayce as a gentle bowel regulator for occasional irregularity. This formula, recommended in about forty readings, contains sulfur, cream of tartar, and Rochelle salts. According to the readings, the mixture acts as a mild laxative and blood purifier, or as Cayce explained: "This would be taken as a cleanser for the whole system"(Cayce). It was also mentioned in cases of eczema, acne, psoriasis, ear infection, ringing in ear(s) and dermatitis.
Edgar Cayce sometimes recommended laxatives to improve eliminations through the colon, particularly in cases involving constipation. Various other therapies were usually recommended in addition to the laxatives. For example, diet (with lots of fruits and vegetables), hydrotherapy (especially colonic irrigations), and manual therapy (spinal manipulations and massage) were commonly prescribed for constipation.
